PASTOR ARDEN KRYCH

 

 

On Tuesday, December 27, 2011, Pastor Christopher J. Franz left St. Mark, to serve as Pastor at Advent Lutheran Church in West Chester, after more than 16 years of service. To say that we will miss him is an understatement of immense proportions. We wish him, and Advent, many blessings as they serve together in the years ahead.

Beginning Wednesday, December 28, 2011, St. Mark will be blessed to have Pastor Arden Krych as its Bridge Pastor for the months of January and February. Pastor Krych has preached at St. Mark many times in the past few years when Pastor Chris was on vacation.

In March 2011, we hope that our Interim Pastor will be with us as we begin the interim process which will end with our calling a new pastor for St. Mark.

Pastor Krych is the retired Senior Pastor from St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Springfield, having previously served congregations in Northeast Philadelphia and Central New Jersey.  Following his 15 years at St. Matthew, he has served several other congregations on a part time basis as needs arose.  He has found each to have been a wonderfully gratifying experience.

 

His wife, Margaret, is also an ordained ELCA Pastor, and has retired after serving 31 years as a professor at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. 

 

They have two married adult children, and one grandchild.
