INFORMATION ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
St. Mark’s Christian School’s mission is to provide a quality education that gives children the knowledge and wisdom to pursue future educational and vocational opportunities in God’s good creation. The school will:
Provide an education based on Pennsylvania’s academic standards so that “no child will be left behind”. This includes learning opportunities and experiences that are based on the child’s individual needs, interests and abilities, building important foundations for future reading skills and other academic pursuits.
Provide appropriate experiences that will further the child’s social development and encourage the building of wholesome relationships. Enrollment is open to any child, provided their needs may be met. The school does not discriminate with regard to sex, race, ethnicity, creed or political belief. Our school provides the following special opportunities:
A September through May school year in spacious, bright child-friendly classrooms well staffed with educated teachers who take advantage of continuing education opportunities.
Availability of gym classes, in our multi-use facility.
Exciting programs, including guest presentations, a well-equipped computer lab/art room and up to date teaching resources using the latest methodologies. All classrooms feature plenty of fun and age-appropriate learning activities.
A family year-end picnic and an August teacher and family social allow parents to become better acquainted with those who have a role in their child’s education. Our multi-cultural school offers the following classes:
The hours of our Christian School programs are as follows:
9 am to 11:30 am - 1 or more days per week Nursery School: 9 am to 3 pm - 2, 3 or 5 days a week (A limited number of half-day spaces are available for 3 and 4 year olds)
9 am to 3 pm - 5 days a week Our state-licensed KidsTime before and After School Program offers care from 7:30 - 9 am and 3 - 6 pm for Nursery School and Kindergarten students from 7 to 9 am and 3 to 6 pm.
